About charts in Assets dashboards
Assets dashboards for Jira Service Management Cloud is a Premium and Enterprise-only feature that is currently in an early access program.

Charts are the building blocks of dashboards in Assets. They provide a visual representation of your objects and their attributes, as well as their associated work items. You can create multiple charts to make up a dashboard.
Chart types
You can choose from a variety of chart types to visualize data in different ways.
Available chart types:
Bar chart
Horizontal bar chart
Line chart
Donut chart
Table
Metrics
You can choose from a variety of metrics for your charts. The metrics available will depend on the chart type you choose. Read about how metrics are calculated
Object count
A simple count of objects. You can choose to group objects by object type or attributes.
Chart types: bar, horizontal bar, line, donut, table.
Example
Show the number of laptops in your organization, grouped by purchase date.
Work items linked to objects
Shows how many work items are linked to objects of the selected object type. You can choose to group objects by object type or attributes.
Chart types: bar, horizontal bar, line, donut, table.
Example
Show the number of work items that are linked to laptops, grouped by brand.
Aggregation of attributes
Shows an aggregation of attributes of object types (sum of, average, minimum or maximum). You can choose to group objects by object type or attributes.
Chart types: bar, horizontal bar, line, table.
Example
Show the average purchase cost of laptops, grouped by purchase month.
Object attribute details
Allows you to explore the particular attribute values related to the selected object type.
Chart type: table.
Example
Show the brand, operating system, status and purchase date of laptops in a table.
Two-dimensional attribute analysis
Shows the relationships between two different attributes of object types. Represented in a table format, one attribute is displayed in rows and another in columns. The intersection of the rows and columns shows the number of objects that share those attribute values.
Chart type: table.
Example
Show the number of laptops based on their brand and status (new, in use, in repair, retired).
Segments
You can use segments to provide a more detailed view of your data by breaking it down into specific categories. This can be particularly useful for visualizing attribute values of an object type. For example, you could show different laptop brands within the same bar on a bar chart.
Segmentations can be used with the following metrics:
Object count (not available with donut charts)
Object attribute details (table only)
Two-dimensional attribute analysis (table only)
Filters
You can further refine the data displayed in your charts with filters. You can create filters based on work types or attributes of an object. For example, you could use a filter to only show laptops with less than 16gb of RAM.
You can add up to five filters per chart.
