Metrics in Assets dashboards
Assets dashboards for Jira Service Management Cloud is a Premium and Enterprise-only feature that is currently in an early access program.

Metrics measure and track data with your assets and configurations, as well as their associated work items. They’re one of the building blocks for creating charts in the Assets dashboards.

Metric | Definition |
---|---|
Count of objects | A simple count of objects. You can choose to group objects by object type or attributes. Chart types: bar, horizontal bar, line, donut, table. Example Show the number of laptops in your organization, grouped by purchase date. |
Work items linked to objects | Shows how many work items are linked to objects of the selected object type. You can choose to group objects by object type or attributes. Chart types: bar, horizontal bar, line, donut, table. Example Show the number of work items that are linked to laptops, grouped by brand. |
Aggregation of attributes | Shows an aggregation of attributes of object types (sum of, average, minimum or maximum). You can choose to group objects by object type or attributes. Chart types: bar, horizontal bar, line, table. Example Show the average purchase cost of laptops, grouped by purchase month. |
Object attribute details | Allows you to explore the particular attribute values related to the selected object type. Chart type: table. Example Show the brand, operating system, status and purchase date of laptops in a table. |
Two-dimensional attribute analysis | Shows the relationships between two different attributes of object types. Represented in a table format, one attribute is displayed in rows and another in columns. The intersection of the rows and columns shows the number of objects that share those attribute values. Chart type: table. Example Show the number of laptops based on their brand and status (new, in use, in repair, retired). |
