Link incident records to a work item in another project

You can link incident records to other work items such as a problem report or change request. You can also link them to work items in other projects in Jira or other apps like Confluence. For example, you might want to link an incident to a software project when a second or third-line support member needs to work on a fix.

To link an incident record to a work item in another project:

  1. View the incident record.

  2. Select Link work item. A Linked work items section will appear.

  3. In the first field, select is caused by.

  4. In the second field, enter the work item (or select from the drop-down menu) you want to link to.

  5. Select Link.
