Use Opsgenie's incoming call routing

This article explains how to use incoming call routing from Opsgenie for users who have merged Opsgenie with Jira Service Management.

If your Jira Service Management isn't merged with Opsgenie or if you’ve already completed your migration, you can use Jira Service Management's native incoming call routing app instead.

Incoming call routing is an integration in Opsgenie to route your calls to a team, schedule, or escalation. When you define a phone number for incoming call routing, each call made to that number will create an alert in Opsgenie and notify the correct on-call team member. Learn more about incoming call routing.

Jira Service Management users need a connected Opsgenie account and a phone number from Twilio to use the incoming call routing.

You can setup incoming call routing by switching to your Opsgenie account. To go to Opsgenie;

  1. Select the app switcher from your top navigation menu.

  2. Select Opsgenie.

  3. Once you log in to your Opsgenie account, follow the instructions on Integrate incoming call routing.
