Curate search results in Company Hub

Add a customized search box to your Company Hub. By pre-filtering the search field, you can curate the results and information that matters most to your readers.

This is useful to allow Hub readers to search a set of verified policies or procedures located in a specific place in Confluence.

Create and configure a Custom Search element

1. Go to your Company Hub and select the Edit button ( icon).

2. Type /search and select the Custom search option.

3. Custom search is added to your Company Hub.

4. Select the element and choose a display option from the floating menu:

   • Back to center: The search element is the width of your text.

   • Go wide: The search element is wide than the default text width, but doesn’t fill the screen.

   • Go full width: The search element fills the screen width and will respond to changes in your browser window size.

Set styles and search parameters

Use the Edit button (pencil icon) to open the configuration panel the right side of the screen.

Choose styles: Fill color: Select the drop-down menu to choose a background color for the search field. Text color: Select the drop-down menu to choose a text color. The color palette will let you know if your choice passes accessibility standards. Corners: Choose rounded or square corners. Placeholder text: Enter a message that will be visible before anyone types a search. Set filters: Last updated: Select a timeframe, including custom dates. Contributor: Use the find people field and filter to pages owned, created, or edited by a specific person. Space: Use the find spaces field to filter by one or more space. Content under: Filter to show only content under a specific parent item in the content tree. Verified: Filter to show only only content that is marked Verified. Label: Filter to show content that has one or more labels.
